I'm a software engineer based in Austin, Texas. I've spent the last several years building React and React Native apps — a health information management app, a real estate platform, a reusable-container app for cutting down single-use plastic, and an educational gaming platform for teenagers. I have a master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.
Why I built LinkFlick
I have a personal MacBook and a work MacBook, and I like using Apple's Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard on both. The problem: my work Mac and personal Mac are signed into different Apple IDs, so Apple's own tools like Universal Control can't bridge them. My mouse and keyboard were stuck paired to whichever Mac I used last, and re-pairing by hand every time I switched desks got old fast.
I looked at what already existed to solve this, and most of it felt old — clunky interfaces, apps that hadn't been updated in years. So I decided to build something simple, that looks good, and that just works: LinkFlick performs a real Bluetooth handover, moving your Magic Mouse, Keyboard, or Trackpad from one Mac to another in about 10 seconds, no matter what Apple ID either Mac is signed into.
Why I'm sharing it
LinkFlick is something I use myself, every single day, switching between my own two Macs. I'm building and maintaining it on my own — no team, no outside investors — and I figured other people juggling multiple Macs with different Apple IDs could use the same thing. That's the whole reason this exists.
